Maybe it’s because my expectations were so low, but I really bloody liked it. I jumped straight in, fully expecting to be disappointed. I’m not sure why I never picked up another Lawson book, but when I saw that this one was a dark, bully, reverse harem… well. I remember reading an Angel Lawson book a very long time ago, and according to my Goodreads history I gave it 3 stars so it can’t have been terrible, but I remember absolutely nothing about it now.
